The Mary in Latin America series will be presented in the city of Salta on September, coinciding with the traditional celebration of the Fiesta del Milagro.
The exhibition will take place at Centro Cultural América, located opposite Plaza 9 de Julio, in the heart of the city.
The exhibition brings together different representations of Marian devotion in Latin America, including El Señor and Virgen del Milagro, exploring its roots, cultural identity, and the enduring presence of the sacred in contemporary art.

MARY IN THE AMERICAS is a series of contemporary paintings by visual artist Karina Carrescia. The series is made up of 21 paintings based on and recreated from the iconographic representation of the Virgin Mary - during the colonial period in Latin America - where the artist creatively investigates, enhancing the American aesthetic sense and expression.
